Sound Effects

Sound effects are enabled by adding a [Sounds] section to the WT400XFR.INI file. Under the [Sounds] section are event entries such as the following:     [Sounds]    ErrorMessage=C:\SOUNDS\TRALALA.WAVIn the example above, the TRALALA.WAV file will be played whenever an error message is displayed by the file transfer program during a transfer operation.  The supported events are:
 
About=
plays when the "About" option is chosen from the Help menu.
Help=
plays when any "help" option is chosen from the Help menu.
Initialize=
plays when the file transfer program is started.
Terminate=
plays when the file tranfer program terminates.
StartTransfer=
pays when the file transfer operation starts.
TransferInitComplete=
plays when the initialization part of the transfer operation is completed (the AS/400 program is ready to send or receive the data).
ErrorMessage=
plays when an error is detected during the transfer.
OverwriteWarning=
plays when the "Overwrite File" warning message is displayed (the "Warn on File Overwrite" option must be checked).
TransferComplete=
plays when the file transfer completes if the Option "Notify Upon Completion" is checked.
TransferSuccessful=
plays when the file transfer completes if the Option "Notify Upon Completion" is NOT checked.

Note that the sound file specified must fit into available memory and be playable by an installed audio device driver. If the sound file path is not qualified, the system searches the following directories for sound files: the current directory; the Windows directory; the Windows system directory; directories listed in the PATH environment variable; and the list of directories mapped in a network.
